It’s great to have the Main Street Blues band back at East Kilbride Arts Centre again. They will be performing their own brand of electric and acoustic blues. The band is fronted by Derek Smith, a highly regarded singer/guitarist, and the band are known throughout Scotland as one of the most prominent and acclaimed bands in the blues genre.
The show will feature many tracks from the band’s latest albums plus selected acoustic and electric favourites from their back catalogue. This promises to be a fantastic show.
The band are a favourite around festivals and theatres and are known for putting on a great live show. They have just finished a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and have featured in sell out performances at the prestigious Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival for the last seven years. Your can catch their set from the Main Stage at the Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival on BBC Alba and iPlayer.
